This privacy policy is applicable to the Crowdsorsa mobile application (hereinafter “Application”), developed by Finnora Oy (hereinafter “Service Provider”). As a User of the Application, you can participate in data collection and microtask missions (hereinafter “Task(s)”) where geotagged photos or videos are generated to earn monetary rewards. Tasks are organized to serve the needs of cities, municipalities and organizations (hereinafter “Client(s)”) that want to improve the built or natural environment by engaging the citizens. By using the Application, you are giving your consent to the Service Provider processing your information as described in this privacy policy. All capitalized terms used herein and not otherwise defined shall have the same meaning herein as in the Terms and Conditions Agreement.
The Service Provider acquires information about you when you download and register for the Application. Registration is mandatory to be able to utilize the features offered by the Application. When registering an account in connection with the Services, you are required to provide your email address, password, first name, last name, username, country and date of birth. The Application has an age limit of 13 years and requires parental consent from users under 18 years of age.
When using the Application and participating in Tasks, the Service Provider can collect certain information, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile operating system, information about the way you use the Application, your GPS location, photos and videos you create through the Application, your reward earnings, and payment details. All Tasks require that the Application’s camera access and accurate GPS tracking have both been enabled.
For reward payments, the collected information depends on your country and its legal requirements. The Service Provider may ask you to provide information such as your IBAN, BIC/SWIFT, social security number, address or income tax percentage. The Service Provider does not store your payment information outside the time of handling your payment request. For this reason, you need to fill in your payment information in the Application every time you make a new payment request.
The Service Provider uses data to enable your successful participation in Tasks organized in the Application. Data is also used for user support, marketing and communications, reward payments, tax declarations, other possible legal requirements, research and development, manual and automated analysis, and environmental improvements. Any personal user information processed by the Service Provider is limited to only what is necessary for the specified purpose.
The Service Provider stores your information on AWS servers located in Sweden. By registering for the Application, you consent to your personal information being processed and stored outside of your country of residence. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information that it processes and maintains. For example, databases are encrypted, collected photo and video data anonymized, and access to information limited to authorized employees and partners who need it to operate, develop or improve the Application or the services produced through the Application. Please be aware that, although the Service Provider endeavors to provide reasonable security for the stored information, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
The Service Provider keeps your information private and does not transfer it to third parties, except for sending your payment information to the banks and tax authorities, and delivering your videos, photos and their metadata created in Tasks to the Clients and other trusted partners involved in the service. In addition, your username, rewards and Task contributions can be publicly displayed on the Application and other platforms of the Service Provider. As third-party services have their own privacy practices, none of them are covered by this privacy policy.
The Application has an Account page where you can edit your personal information or delete your user account. You can also contact the Service Provider via email (contact@crowdsorsa.com) to have your account deleted. When your account is deleted, your personal information (email address, password, first name, last name, username, country, date of birth) is removed from the Service Provider’s system, from both the Application and the dashboard. The Service Provider has the right to keep and use the data you have produced and uploaded when participating in Tasks for as long as required to provide the Service. You can view all your uploads on the Files page of the Application for 30 days, after which they are no longer displayed.
The Service Provider may update this privacy policy periodically to reflect changes in information practices or legal requirements. The most current version of the privacy policy will always be available here. You are advised to consult this privacy policy regularly for any updates, as continued use of the Application is deemed approval of all changes. At the top of the page you can see when this privacy policy was most recently updated.
If you have any questions regarding this privacy policy, please contact the Service Provider via email at contact@crowdsorsa.com.
